Who we are and our mission

About Vita Gaia

Vita Gaia is a company founded on a simple belief: business can be a force for healing and that Earth, Gaia, is our home, and the home to all life as we know it.

Our mission is to protect and restore life on Earth. We create and sell products that support human health while minimizing harm to the planet. But more than what we sell, it’s how we operate that defines us. Every supplier, every partner, every decision is chosen to reflect our values supporting clean water and air, funding education, investing in regenerative farming, and backing research into technologies that can restore ecosystems and eliminate plastic pollution for good.

Vita Gaia was founded by Terrence Murdoch, a half-American, half-Filipino child of the 80s who grew up in the rainforests of the Philippines, spent formative years in Japan, and witnessed the deep contrast between cultural empathy and environmental destruction. As a boy, he watched species vanish from places he once called home. As a man, he built Vita Gaia to stand against the forces that caused that loss, unchecked capitalism, ecological indifference, and systemic neglect and lack of empathy.

The vision behind Vita Gaia is rooted in Kapwa, the Filipino belief in a shared self and deep connection with others, and Kalinawan a state of clarity, peace, and harmony. These values shape everything we do, from how we source and build partnerships to how we define success: not by profit, but by how much good we can do.

Vita Gaia is more than a brand. It’s a living call to action. A company driven by empathy, committed to healing, and built to prove that doing good and doing business can be one and the same.
